When and if they give it actual VR support we can have this conversation. It has very sketchy and beta support for enabling the Rift. Why do you think Dying Light and playing it in VR isn't a"thing"? Because it's not a thing. I'm not talking about lack of motion controllers. Same way as Alien Isolation lol, just nooooooooooooo. I mean you can enable the headset but that's about it.įact. There is no actual Oculus Rift support for Dying Light. It's not a finished product we can argue about being good or not. How can you even argue this is beyond me. Light shafts are fucked, FoV is off, UI is off 's all fucked up. You are able to use the Rift, but it's not polished, ready or anything of the sort.
Man, there is nothing "VR support" about it. Motion controls would be nice, but even with a controller it would be a must have in VR I reckon. You have to be dead centre in your play space or the camera doesn't move 1:1 with your view. Menus stuck to your face, so are cinematic cutscenes. It looks absolutely fantastic in VR, that has to be said, but I have pretty good VR legs and it made me feel very, very sick after just 10 minutes. Dying Light isnt a game that always demands calculated strategy, but Killing Floor 2 downright discourages planning in favour of fervorous, blood-splattered slaughter. I was really excited about it, but felt pretty underwhelmed.
